Automate Your Calendar for a More Productive Workday

There is nothing more frustrating and time consuming than playing email tag with a client to schedule an appointment. When I started my first business, I quickly noticed that client scheduling was going to become a problem if I didn’t get a handle on it soon. Of course, I started my research on Google U.

I found that there were numerous appointment scheduling software platforms on the web to choose from. Once you know what you need from your scheduling software, research different companies and narrow them down to your top three. Next, go deeper into the specific offerings of your top three to weigh the pros and cons of each. Finally, you get to choose the scheduling software that best fits your business! (Excitement! If you don’t know my now, everything excites me.)

I chose my platform based on the simplicity of the platform, the ability to integrate into my website and the price point. Even though I consider myself to be tech savvy, who needs another complicated software to learn? Not me. It took me an hour to set up my account and create my first appointment. You add your availability and your client will be able to choose the best appointment for them around your availability. I set my scheduler to work with my google calendar because that is where I keep all my business and personal appointments.

I needed my scheduler to work seamlessly with my website. The simple coding behind the scenes (seriously copy their code and past into my website) allowed me to easily create a specific calendar page on my website. Whenever a client requests a consultation, I direct them to this page to quickly and easily set up their appointment.

Staying within your budget is crucial for new business owners. My scheduler had an option where you could create one appointment type on your account without a monthly fee. This was great for me because I only needed to schedule client consultations and it also helped me to stay within budget.

I hope this helps with finding and implementing your new scheduling software. I cannot wait to hear your updates in the comments!
