Welcome to My Signature Design Process

Processes create a more productive work and life environment. The stress and overwhelm are alleviated when a process is in place to let us know what to expect next. I always keep my clients in mind when trying to improve areas in my business so they can have the optimal design experience. After working with a couple clients, I decided that it was a must that I created a detailed design process to guide all my future design projects.

My design process serves as a guide and provides my clients with the steps needed to stay on task during our work together. When working with a graphic/web designer, make sure to get clarity and that you are comfortable with their process.

Please view my design process to give you an idea of what could be included in your design process when you work with your own designer.

STAGE 1: LET'S CHAT

This stage begins during your initial inquiry about our services. During your initial consult, we will discuss your project, budget and target deadline as well as our packages, pricing and design process. We will review your current visual identity (if any) and identify all areas that require improvements. We will discuss both client and designer expectations. If you are comfortable with our services, we will move forward with contracts, invoicing and payment of deposit. If you decide Bossed Media is not the perfect fit, you will be provided with a listing of preferred graphic designers that may be able to handle your project.

STAGE 2: RESEARCH/VISION

During the Research/Vision stage, you will complete both the Brand Inspiration Homework and the Branding Questionnaire. Completion of these worksheets will give specific insight into your vision for you brand. You will identify your target audience, brand mission/vision and product/services. This stage will produce all the visuals needed to move forward to complete your inspiration board.

STAGE 3: INSPIRATION BOARD

After completion of your brand research, we should have all that is needed to begin to develop the concepts of your brand. This board is for inspiration and to provide a visual reference to maintain consistency through the stages of the design project. This board will include your color palette, fonts and patterns that represent your brand’s vision.

STAGE 4: LOGO VARIATIONS

A logo usually comes in the form of a logotype or symbol which helps customers remember your brand. Several logo concepts will be created during this phase that will have all elements for a successful logo. We will review and revise to come up with a mark represents your brand then finalize this process. A logo, sub mark and favicon will be delivered BM Client Page.

STAGE 5: BRAND STYLE BOARD

This board includes your brand’s logo, sub marks, fonts, color palettes and graphic elements and provides consistency across all your brand’s visuals. This is your reference to ensure consistency when you create new collateral for you brand.

STAGE 6: COLLATERAL DESIGN
